Hours after he lost his Fox News job over sexual harassment allegations, Eric Bolling lost his teenage son, who was found dead Friday by authorities in Colorado.

According to CNN, 19-year-old Eric Chase Bolling was starting his second year at the University of Colorado at Boulder. The cause of death was not immediately announced, but TMZ reported that the death was due to a drug overdose.

In confirming the death over social media, Bolling’s grief was evident.

“We are overwhelmed by the love and support we have received. Adrienne and I thank you all and ask that you please keep us in your prayers,” the former Fox News host said via Twitter. “Authorities have informed us there is no sign of self harm at this point. The autopsy will be next week. Please respect our grieving period.”

No matter how you feel about Bolling or what he’s alleged to have done, the news that his son was dead should have been a sobering moment for everyone, conservative or liberal.

So, what did some on the American left do? As The Daily Caller notes, many of them took to Twitter to celebrate Eric Chase Bolling’s death and its effect on his father. (WARNING: Rather unsurprisingly, there is some strong language ahead):

Ah yes, karma — the Eastern religious concept that the actions of an individual can metaphysically affect the future circumstances acted upon that person. No word from these fine individuals as to what kind of karma one might reap from celebrating the death of another man’s son. Apparently, being on the left makes one karma-proof, no matter how depraved one’s actions and intent may be.

And it wasn’t just Bolling’s alleged indiscretions that made his son’s death a good thing, according to Twitter users. It’s enough just to be conservative, at least in the eyes of some.

(Expletive deleted in the following tweet.)

Wonderful. One hopes that these individuals’ employers, assuming some at least have jobs, are aware of their decision to celebrate the death of a teenager. Unfortunately, I don’t hold as much faith in “karmic” retribution as these degenerates seem to.

Is this where we are in 2017? Where it’s OK not just to rejoice over the death of someone you don’t like, but to rejoice over the death of one of their loved ones? No matter what your politics are, you don’t attack someone over a dead relative.

This display of heartless cruelty proves nothing about Bolling or his son and everything about the degeneracy of each and every one of these individuals. Their continued ability to retain access to the internet and the ability to type proves that the concept of “karma” — at least as postulated by them — is utter bunk.
