As Hurricane Harvey rapidly approaches the coast of Texas, CNN senior White House correspondent Jim Acosta took the occasion to swipe at Donald Trump; bizarrely claiming the President’s attacks on “fake news” may sway people to dismiss the media’s evacuation warnings.

Acosta posted the warning on social media, where he said it was “not a good time” to attack the press, with so many “relying on national and local news outlets” for vital information regarding the approaching storm.“Not a good time to take shots at ‘fake news.’ Millions will be relying on national and local news outlets to stay safe during hurricane,” he wrote.

“Poor” Jim, maybe he is frustrated because Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders held her first official briefing in three weeks on Thursday, and Acosta and CNN did not get any questions.

It didn’t take long for fellow twitter users to pile-on Acosta’s comments, with one user saying “I may be wrong, but I think most people can differentiate between ‘Trump is a literal Nazi’ news and ‘Hurricane warning’ news.”
