“Saturday Night Live” is slowly turning into the most disgraceful show on planet Earth, and this time people got really angry after it mocked Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL. Crenshaw is trying to forget his terrible experience in Afghanistan that almost cost his life. The Navy SEAL lost his eye, but did not even accept an apology after SNL mocked him.
Crenshaw had an interview with CNN, and used the opportunity to offer the right “solution” for this situation.
The Navy SEAL was patrolling in the Helmand province of Afghanistan in 2012. He was struck by an IED blast, and was immediately evacuated out of the area. His situation was so serious that he had to be put into a medically-induced coma. Unfortunately, Crenshaw woke up blind. He had to undergo a risky experimental treatment, and managed to regain the vision in one eye.
This did not stop him from entering the field again and Crenshaw redeployed. He came back to Texas, and married the love of his life. He even enrolled at Harvard. This man was strong enough to start of a Congress run in Texas at 34.
“One of our Afghan interpreters stepped on a pressure plate right in front of me. About 15 pounds of explosives dismembered him right in front of my face. It blinded me, shattered me, and knocked me over. I woke up about five days later,” he explained.
“They took some time to stabilize me in Afghanistan and do the surgery to remove my right eye. I woke up without a right eye and blind in the left. They had little faith I would see again, but the fact they said there was a chance … I really believed I would see again,” Crenshaw added.
Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended. That being said, I hope @nbcsnl recognizes that vets don’t deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes.

But, SNL cast member Pete Davidson does not respect him. “’Saturday Night Live’ cast member Pete Davidson mocked the appearance of Republican congressional candidate Dan Crenshaw, a former Navy SEAL who lost his eye in an IED blast in Afghanistan,” The Daily Caller reported.
“This guy is kind of cool — Dan Crenshaw, you may be surprised to hear he’s a congressional candidate for Texas and not a hit-man in a porno movie,” Davidson said during the “Weekend Update” segment.
Crenshaw did not remain silent, and blasted SNL. “Good rule in life: I try hard not to offend; I try harder not to be offended. That being said, I hope @nbcsnl recognizes that vets don’t deserve to see their wounds used as punchlines for bad jokes,” he tweeted.
